In the history of swimming and water sports the one-piece swimsuit was one of the first garments developed designated just for female swimming. A one piece bathing suits usually covers a women’s breasts, the genitalia, and the front area between the two, therefore essentially the abdominal part. Early pin up swimsuits models often wore black or white one piece bathing suits with cherries. Retro one piece bathing suits in white with cherries and sometimes in black are still available due to its popularity with retro lovers (even in infant size).
Early swim suits issues and special magazine pictures also feature sexy one piece bathing suits. A sexy one piece bathing suit back then would mean high cut leg openings or showing some cleavage, but not what we would call sexy in our modern times.
A whole other world of one piece bathing suits can be found in designer one piece bathing suits. They reach from modest to hot with some not even resembling so much as a bathing suit. Some designer bathing suits are available to the general public, but they are very expensive and only a select crowd can afford them.
Regular one piece swimsuits can be found at any local department store, sports store or online. The sexier versions of one piece bathing suits are generally not available at a department store and are more likely to be found in specialized stores.
